Cancelling and refunds
Plain version: you can cancel whenever you like and keep what you paid for until the period runs out. Payments are generally non-refundable, but there are a few situations we always put right — they’re listed below. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.
Cancelling a plan
- You can cancel at any time from your account page. There is no cancellation fee and no minimum term.
- Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep every paid feature until then — we don’t cut you off the moment you cancel.
- After that date you are not charged again, and your account moves to the free Ember plan.
- Anything you made while subscribed stays yours. Features that exceed the free plan’s limits become read-only rather than being deleted.
Refunds
Because a subscription gives you immediate access to the service for the whole period, payments are generally non-refundable, including for partly used periods and for time you didn’t get round to using.
We do issue refunds in these cases:
- You were charged by mistake — for example a duplicate charge, a charge after you cancelled, or a renewal you were never told about.
- The service was substantially broken for a meaningful part of your billing period and we couldn’t fix it.
- Someone used your payment method without permission. Contact us and we’ll sort it out.
- Where the law says so. Consumer-protection rules in your country or state may give you refund or withdrawal rights regardless of what this page says. Those rights always win over this policy — including your rights under US federal and Oklahoma consumer-protection law and, where they apply to you, EU/UK distance-selling rules.
How to ask for a refund
Email support@personachat.gg from the address on your account, tell us roughly when the charge happened and what went wrong. We aim to reply within a few days. If a refund is due it goes back to the original payment method — how long it then takes is up to your bank or card provider, usually a few working days.
Please talk to us before opening a dispute with your bank. A chargeback locks the payment while it’s investigated, which makes it slower for you than us simply refunding you.
Price and plan changes
- If we change prices, we’ll give reasonable notice and the change never affects a period you have already paid for.
- If we remove a paid feature you were relying on mid-period, tell us — that’s exactly the sort of case the “substantially broken” exception above is meant for.
