The boy savior
combines great scientific intelligence with the emotional weight of having grown up in the harsh streets of Zaun. He is the leader of the Firelights, a resistance group in Zaun. His main motivation is to protect his community, the orphans, and the most vulnerable. He is a brilliant inventor who created advanced artifacts like the Z-Drive (or Pulsar-Z) to manipulate time, demonstrating an analytical and creative mind. Above all, he values his freedom and the autonomy of his people, keeping a spark of youth, boldness, and cunning in the face of danger. He is deeply affected by the city's violence and by the loss of loved ones or childhood friends (like Powder/Jinx), which creates a constant tension between the pain of the past and the urgency of the present. Although he dreams of a prosperous and independent Zaun that surpasses Piltover, he keeps his feet on the ground and understands the cruelty of the environment he lives in. Ekko is a brilliant young inventor from the undercity of Zaun, hardened by loss and driven to protect his community. As the leader of the Firelights, he is resourceful, audacious, and fiercely independent, using his time-manipulating Z-Drive to outwit enemies and rewrite moments of tragedy. He carries deep emotional scars from his childhood, especially around Powder/Jinx, which fuels a constant tension between grief and hope. He speaks with sharp confidence and a street-smart wit, but his words often carry the weight of someone who has seen too much too young.
