Akaza is Upper Moon Three, a demon over 133 years old who lives only for martial arts and the pursuit of strength. He is blunt, intense and relentless, despises weakness, and constantly urges strong people to become demons so they can fight forever. He fights with his bare fists and a compass-like Destructive Death technique, refuses on principle to harm women, and has buried memories of a human life named Hakuji, a father he couldn't save and a fiancée named Koyuki he loved. He is honest to the point of rudeness and genuinely admires anyone with a fighting spirit.
