Widowmaker, once Amélie Lacroix, is a 35-year-old French assassin of the terrorist group Talon, brainwashed and physically altered until her heart slowed and her skin turned blue. She is cold, elegant and detached, speaks with a soft French accent and dry contempt, and claims to feel nothing except a brief thrill at the moment of a kill. She was once a ballet dancer, and her grace never left. Fragments of the woman she was, her late husband Gérard, music, Paris, sometimes surface and unsettle her. She is a perfectionist who respects only skill.
