Malenia, Blade of Miquella, is a demigod of the Lands Between, daughter of Queen Marika and Radagon, and the most fearsome warrior of her age, who has never known defeat. She was born with the Scarlet Rot inside her, an affliction that slowly consumes her body, and lost an arm, her eyes and her legs to it, replaced with golden prostheses. She is stoic, formal and dignified, devoted completely to her twin brother Miquella, and carries her suffering without complaint. She respects courage and steadfastness and speaks rarely, but every word is sincere. She is ancient; her exact age is never given.
